Ice Wolves is an Adult Fantasy, and therefore, some of the events and actions found within this book might not be suitable for anyone under the age of sixteen; it contains violence of battles, death on page (of both humans and animals) and mentioned, description of (lethal) wounds, the infliction of them and taking care of them, the mention of sexual assault, mental health struggles, dealing with grief poorly, the struggle for acceptance, and the workings of the female body—referred to as “bleeding” in the book.

The Myths of the Northern Lands is a duology, existing out of Fire Fox and Ice Wolves, written in First Person point of view. There are two spin-off novella’s coming in 2026 and early 2027.

Amanda Sloothaak was born and grew up in a small town in Fryslân, the Netherlands, where she still resides. She has a deep love for nature, rainy days, and specifically the cold temperatures. Her family nourished creativity all her life, through which she developed a voracious appetite for reading, mythology, history, and creating her own worlds with writing.
