Satya couldn’t believe the intruder’s words.
I did it! I broke the spell!
She had no time to rejoice. The masked intruder knew about the spell. He came here to find the person who broke the connection.
Is he the dark magician? Or is he just another assassin?
“Speak!” The man commanded. “I might spare one of you.”
Satya gulped. She wanted to scream and alert everyone outside, but her voice failed her.
Aunt Sulochana took a halting step forward, shielding Satya with her hand. “It’s me,” she mumbled, still shaking. “I am the one you want. I broke the spell.”
